Privacy Policy

This policy covers both the Score Drummer app and the scoredrummer.com website.

The App App

Score Drummer keeps your songs, imported files, practice data, MIDI data, and audio data on your device — none of it is uploaded. Settings are saved using the OS's standard user defaults; there are no user accounts or cloud storage. Imported files, custom SoundFonts, and MIDI device names used for display/auto-detection stay local. The library export feature (.sdlib) creates a local file only; sharing it is your choice. The app may send the limited diagnostics and anonymous product analytics described below.

Analytics & Diagnostics App

Score Drummer sends two limited, anonymous data streams so we can find bugs and understand product usage. Neither is linked to your identity or an account. Both use an app-generated anonymous installation token so repeated events can be matched to the same anonymous install, without using advertising IDs, hardware device identifiers, advertising SDKs, or tracking across apps or websites.

• Product analytics (sent to PostHog): coarse app actions, feature usage, purchase funnel status, and aggregate session/device context.
• Crash & error diagnostics (sent to Sentry): stack traces, crash metadata, app/OS version, distribution channel, and fixed internal error codes. Required to maintain app reliability and cannot be disabled inside the app. Sentry is configured not to store IP addresses for this project.

Neither stream ever includes your songs, imported files, file names or paths, MIDI notes, audio data, performance scores, device names, receipts, account information, or payment information.

Score Drummer may also fetch a small remote policy file to control whether diagnostics, analytics, and privacy/update notices are enabled for the installed app version; this request carries no personal data.

In-App Purchases App

Purchases and entitlement checks are processed by the Apple App Store or Microsoft Store. Score Drummer does not collect or store payment information. Purchase receipts are validated locally on your device.

The Website Website

The scoredrummer.com website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for anonymous, aggregate traffic and performance metrics only. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or client-side storage, and Cloudflare says it does not track individual visitors across customer websites or collect/use visitors' personal data for this service. This data is processed by Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, CA, USA), certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Since we do not receive identifiable website analytics data, individual access or deletion requests for website analytics cannot be fulfilled as there is none for us to retrieve.

Contact Emails Website

If you email us at support@scoredrummer.com, we use your email address to reply to your message. We do not sell your email address or share it for advertising; service providers may process it only to provide email services for us.

Children's Privacy

Score Drummer does not create user accounts, ask for names or email addresses in the app, or knowingly collect personal information from children. The app contains no social features, and its analytics and diagnostics are not used to identify users.

Privacy Rights and Deletion

Because the app does not create accounts and does not link diagnostics or analytics to your identity, we cannot identify a specific person's app telemetry or crash reports for access or deletion.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
